Stepan Aslanian, President of the NextGen Unity Foundation, took part in the Ukrainian Forum “Herkulesaufgabe des Wiederaufbaus”. The forum was held on December 14 in Munich, Germany, and was dedicated to the reconstruction of Ukraine, development and cooperation between the two countries.

Rebuilding post-war Ukraine is a difficult task in which the German economy can and will play a crucial role. The German side was represented by Hubert Eiwanger, Minister of Economy of Bavaria, Andre Fritzsche, Head of the Department for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, Central Asia and Head of the Working Group on Ukraine at the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), Andreas Reichlein, representative of the Ministry of Economy, Land Development and Energy of the Free State of Bavaria, Rainer Perau, Chairman of the Board of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Ukraine), and Christoph Ungerbauer, member of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Munich and Upper Bavaria.

Hubert Eiwanger, State Minister of the Bavarian Ministry of Economy, Regional Development and Energy, delivered a welcoming speech. The participants then discussed the reconstruction and economic future of Ukraine, Ukraine’s needs and opportunities for Bavarian companies to contribute to the reconstruction of our country, what Ukraine needs and how Bavarian companies can contribute to the reconstruction, etc.

“Charitable organizations,” said Stepan Aslanian, “should not stand aside from the development of our country. By creating and developing new projects aimed at the post-war revival of Ukraine in cooperation with the European community, we are able to help effectively. We want our homeland to rise from the ashes of war like the mythical Phoenix bird.”

The attendees also had the opportunity not only to exchange views but also to visit the exhibition stands of such organizations as AHK Ukraine, Germany Trade & Invest, Invest in Ukraine, Platform Rebuild Ukraine, Eastern Committee, Euler Hermes and Bayern International.
